Francesca relocated to California from Michigan in 2010, and has earned recognition from New York to Hollywood with her critically-acclaimed cabaret shows since her 2007 New York City debut, “SECRETLY SQUARE: Guilty Pleasure Songs” @ the esteemed Metropolitan Room. She debuted the Square show at the famous Gardenia Supper Club in West Hollywood in 2010, where she earned rave reviews. Francesca has appeared in the AZ, FL & PA Non-Equity premieres of “Midlife! The Crisis Musical” by Broadway veterans, brothers Bob and Jim Walton; and in concert in NYC with Broadway star Karen Mason & cabaret legend Andrea Marcovicci. She was a guest artist at the prestigious 2008 Lyrics and Lyricists Program at the 92nd Street Y in NYC with Ms. Marcovicci.
Francesca has been touring the country the last several years with her newest cabaret show, “YOU MAKE ME LAUGH: A Love Song to Gilda Radner, ” premiering it in 2011 at a 10-day festival for Gilda’s Club WestMI, and sharing the schedule w/ Betty White, Bill Cosby & more. She has raised more than $2,500 for Gilda’s Clubs and cancer support organizations whenever she performs it. She is one of the creators of the popular “Palm Springs JUMP!” at the Purple Room Palm Springs, and created and performs weekly in "A Toast to the Stars," for Five Star Adventures Tours, which pays tribute to the old glamour of Palm Springs and the Hollywood stars who have lived and performed there.
She tours nationally w/ her Midwest-based vocal trio, the Boogie Woogie Babies, performing with Symphony orchestras and at Performing Arts Centers. A finalist for both Voice of the Valley and Palm Springs Voice, Francesca has been nominated for 3 Desert Theatre League Awards and won Best Actress in a professional production for her star turn as Reno Sweeny in "Anything Goes" at Palm Canyon Theatre. She is a veteran actress who has appeared in dozens of theatrical productions, including “Love Letters,” “Pump Boys & Dinettes,” “Taffetas,” “Beehive,” “You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown” & “A…My Name is Alice.” She’s worked as a Teaching Artist for Tools for Tomorrow and McCallum Theatre Institute; was the Social Media Manager for Windy City Publishing; and directs audiobooks for Brilliance Audio.
For 10 years, Francesca was an adjunct faculty for Aquinas College, Western MI University & Grand Valley State University, teaching Drama in Education & Storytelling; and for more than 25 years, has taught and directed children's theatre. She currently directs and teaches Improv for David Green's Musical Theatre University in Rancho Mirage.
